Hypochlorous acid is produced by the body itself as part of its immune system. It is released by our white blood cells to fight bacteria and other harmful microorganisms and soothe inflamed areas. Unlike conventional acids that exfoliate the skin or remove the top layer of skin, hypochlorous acid does not exfoliate. Instead, it promotes soothing and regeneration of the skin without irritating the skin barrier.
Hypochlorous acid has an oxidizing effect and should therefore not be used at the same time as strong antioxidants such as vitamin C. The hypochlorous acid could neutralize the effect of the antioxidants so that they do not work as desired. It is recommended to leave a few hours between the application of concentrated antioxidants, such as vitamin C serums, and hypochlorous acid products such as Cloud Mist.
Cloud Mist offers a particularly gentle, pH-neutral formulation without fragrances that has been specially developed for sensitive skin. It combines skin-soothing and antibacterial properties with minimal irritation potential, making it ideal for daily care.
